A big pizza pie? That’s amore.

Sometimes you want a delicious homemade pizza but you don’t feel like getting out the mixer, kneading by hand, doing all the waiting and checking for proofing… So here’s a recipe made for a bread maker. Just put all the ingredients in, wait a few hours, and have your homemade dough with no fuss!

Here’s what you’ll need to make it.

And here’s what the finished product looks like at my house. This recipe makes enough dough for 4 of these 8” pizzas with thick crust.

Bread Maker Pizza Dough

Ingredients

3 3/4 cups bread flour

1/4 cup ground flax

1 3/4 cup warm water

1 Tbsp sugar

1 Tbsp salt

1 Tbsp yeast

4 Tbsp olive oil

Directions

Put all the ingredients into the bread maker, being sure to follow the suggested order for your specific model. For our bread maker, we put them in this order: liquids (water and oil), sugar and salt, flour and flax, yeast. This helps the yeast activate more evenly and prevents it from dying to the salt too quickly.

Set your bread maker to the dough setting, then wait until you hear the little beep/jingle of your finished dough.
