Introducing… Xperimentalist Eats!

Introducing a brand new feature to your Craft Xperimentalist experience: Xperimentalist Eats!

A monthly food-related pattern release accompanied by a recipe. So a recipe/pattern combo. Stitching and food!

Interested? Let’s talk details.

Food-related pattern? What will that look like?

  • Well, you know me. Don’t expect the patterns every month to just be the complete recipes stitched into cloth. That might happen on occasion, but certainly won’t be the norm. Anything that the food inspires will be possible: I’m talking weirdly amazing image mash-ups and maybe a few pop culture references and pixelized food packages…. This is a journey into my creative mind where everything is possible.

Recipes? What can we expect?

  • I test and retest the recipes to make certain they are up to my reasonably high food standards, so rest assured that you will get a tasty treat. But…

  • I can’t promise that everyone will love every recipe. That’s just not how food works. Everyone has different tastes and dietary restrictions. That’s where comments come into play. If you did something a little different, tried a different type of milk/flour/etc., share your knowledge! I’ll be monitoring the comments, so play nice OR ELSE! But I love learning about food and sharing, so let’s hear it.

  • The recipes will be posted here on the blog. They aren’t behind a pay wall. It’s a free gift for you. I’m not a “recipe making expert”, so expecting you to pay money just doesn’t feel right. If you love the recipe, that’s great! I’d love for you to share it, or buy the pattern so you can stitch a beautiful tangible reminder of the delicious food you just ate, or you can use the “Support the Artist” button at the bottom of the screen and donate a bit of cash if you really feel the need to.

It’s monthly? I want to set an alarm! When should I do so?

  • The latest “issue” of Xperimentalist Eats comes out on the second weekend of every month. If something changes, you’ll see an update on social media, so be sure to follow The Craft Xperimentalist on Instagram and/or Facebook for the latest.

How do I share this with my friends?

  • If you’re sending them a text or an email, go ahead and send them a link to the page

  • If you’re looking to share in the fun with your social media friends, use #xperimentalisteats
