Celebrate the classic sampler 16th century style! This pattern centers on a line from the dedication of a needlework book printed in 1596: In needle works there doth great knowledge rest. This poetic truth is accompanied by pictorial elements from the time period, having been carefully recharted from the 1587 printing of a French book of needlework patterns.
